Title: Barcoded Mailing
Post by: rsehl on October 19, 2018, 12:15:50 PM
Hi im interested in seeing what kind of system everyone is using to put addresses on their papers we currently have a videojet system inline but will not do an IMB accurate enough and our offline mailer is too time consuming anyone using a better system or setup please give some advice. The offline mailer would be much better if anyone has ever used one to apply addresses on newsprint before if we could shingle them out but as of now the feeder we have is causing tons of issues.

We have Miracom controls and labeling on our SLS 2000 that we do not print a barcode on currently.  Our offline system is a Videojet 4320 using Crescendo software.  On that we print barcodes including the IMB with no issues passing verifications from the post office.  I'm just sharing what we have, and yes our offline is always more time consuming, but we also need to slow our inline process down for the mail which we can't always sacrifice that lost time either.

We currently have 3 Kirk-Ruby Ink Jet system, with a GUI inter-phase on Windows XP for the software. Utilizing a cross over Cat5 to connect from PC over to the print head. We get files from clients as CSV from that files we can then configure the form design. System is very reliable.

Good luck
