we are having an issue with our M5 brake motor the one that drives and stops the belts our key hole has play in it causing our pulley to slip has anyone had this issue and how did you resolve it the motor, gearbox and brake are fine also if anyone has designed it differently to avoid this problem i would love to hear it thanks

This is pretty rare - probalby happened because the screw in the end of the shaft that holds the pulley got loose. You can just cut a new key in the shaft and move on. But the bore of the pulley is probably damamged as well and should be replaced. If this is an original motor, it is at least 25 years old, so I woudln't get real concerned about reengineering something for it. But, since you have to replace the pulley anyhow, you might want to talk with your power transmission distributor to see if they can get you the pulley with a taper lock bushing, These hold real well. Most of the NP1's had a 2 belt 160 mm SPZ profile pulley. The motor has a 20 mm shaft. Hope this helps.
